Featured 5-star Google review

“I cannot thank this company enough! My business cards are absolutely fabulous and I have received so many compliments on them. The pictures will not do them justice. I got the suede finish, 48 pt thick cards with silver foil on one side and the edges. They are so luxurious.”

03

For premium moments

Pearlescent suits VIP tiers, gift programs, and launches where the card should feel like an object worth keeping.

04

Priced in the open

Pearlescent is $283 per 1,000 — full quantity and add-on pricing shown here, no quote required.

Choose the right plastic — or the right page

Make sure you’re building the right plastic card.

Stay here for pearlescent cards — a gold or silver shimmer at full credit-card thickness. Choose gloss, silk or frosted instead if you want a flat surface.

The one premium step

Choose Silk when the card represents a higher tier.

Gloss is the dependable choice for everyday programs. For premium memberships, high-end studios, and VIP access, Silk adds a smooth, refined feel—and creates the strongest canvas for foil and Spot UV.

Questions, answered

Pearlescent 30mil plastic card FAQ.

Direct answers on thickness, durability, surfaces, options, pricing, artwork, and production.

What is a pearlescent plastic card?

It is a 30mil plastic card on a stock with a metallic shimmer built into the material, not printed on top. Because the effect is in the plastic itself, it shifts as the card moves under light — the same way a pearl finish does on paper, but on a durable credit-card-thick card that survives a wallet. We offer it in silver and in gold.

Do you offer both gold and silver?

Yes, as two separate stocks. You choose one for the order — silver reads cooler and more modern, gold reads warmer and more premium. If you are undecided, order a free sample kit and hold them against your brand colors; the difference is much clearer in the hand than on a screen.

Will my colors print true on a pearlescent card?

Not on their own, and this is the one thing worth planning for. Printing ink is semi-transparent, so the shimmer underneath shows through and shifts every color on top of it. The fix is white blocking: we print a white underlayer first wherever you want color to read true, and leave it off wherever you want the metal to come through. Tell us which parts of the design should shimmer and which should not, and we will set it up.

What surface finishes can I add?

Two card finishes: silk, a smooth matte surface, or gloss UV, a high-shine one. Spot UV — raised gloss on selected areas — needs the silk finish underneath to show contrast, so choose silk if you want it. On a pearlescent stock the matte finish tends to read the most expensive, because it lets the shimmer do the work instead of competing with a gloss.

What else can go on the card?

A magnetic stripe, barcodes and QR codes, sequential numbering, variable data — a different name or code on every card, from a list you send us — a signature panel, a scratch-off PIN, embossed numbering, foil, and a hole or lanyard punch. Every option shows its own price on this page. If the card has to work with a specific system, tell us which one before production so we can confirm the setup.

What is the minimum order and what size are they?

The minimum is 500 cards, at the standard credit-card size of 3.375" x 2.125". Custom sizes are possible — ask and we will quote it. Every order is produced to your specifications and quality-checked before it ships.

Can you design the card for me?

Yes. Our $99 custom design service pairs you with a designer who turns your logo, colors, or a rough idea into a production-ready front and back — including where any scan code, number field, or signature panel sits. Already have print-ready artwork? Upload it and skip the design charge.
